I've decided to revive this blog after two years of gathering lots of dust and very little attention. Hopefully I'll make it beyond one post this time!
A little bit about myself. In many ways, I'm really not that remarkable. I'm a 22 year old computer science student, paying my way through university with a job in a call center. I enjoy a lot of typically 'nerdy' activities - computer games, playing RPGs with friends, tinkering with things to see how they tick, things like that. I'm also quite interested in photography, and that's probably going to become even more apparent in future posts. I also have a thing for good coffee, good books, and good conversations, and I'm always open to suggestions and combinations of those!
In light of not finding my life overly remarkable or interesting, I've decided to try a few week-long experiments with my life. I'm hoping I have the presence of mind to blog about them as I go, as I'm hoping to have some new experiences. Maybe something will stick, too, and be interesting enough to sustain.
First on my list is to stay away from home as much as possible. I generally like the feeling of living out of a knapsack and being on the move most of the time. If it weren't for the constraints of school and, to a lesser degree, my job, I'd be very interested in becoming a technomad. With that out of reach for the time being, I'm setting my goal as spending less than half my time - waking or sleeping - at home for the coming week.
A quick guess looking forward - I'm going to come to love my netbook in the coming week, along with a good book and a travel mug that follows me everywhere. My normal backpack is actually a camera bag, which I tend to keep well stocked, so I'm hoping to document as much of the week as I can in some fashion.
